HOW IT ALL BEGAN?
Bhoomika has always had a creative bent of mind and a keen inclination towards the performing arts – singing, dancing, acting, drama and theatre!
She was enthralled by the world of Bollywood, media & entertainment and had decided very early in life to be a part of it.
Packed with an infectious level of enthusiasm and a booming voice, she decided to follow her dream and took up a stint in Radio, where she successfully captivated audiences with her voice and infectious personality.
Having met various industry legends early in her career gave her an invaluable exposure and the initial inspiration to explore the world of voice.
When she started, the concept of home recording setups were not common, and professional recording studios were all over the city. Traveling right from Worli to Malad, she constantly found herself meeting industry professionals, which really expanded her network.
TRYST WITH RADIO
Her early years in radio played a significant role in shaping her career trajectory. While hosting live shows, she gained valuable insights into broadcasting, including outdoor broadcasts, stage hosting, voice overs, show writing and production. As a voice artist, she had to collaborate with multiple production houses and vendors, making it essential to be a master of all, to navigate the industry with ease.
DEBUT IN THE WORLD OF TELEVISION COMMERCIALS
Her debut in the world of voicing for TV commercials began with a memorable project for Opticus INC – a TVC for Kinder Joy. Then there was no looking back. More variety of projects started pouring in, and she got a chance to voice for commercials, TV shows, cooking shows, reality TV, OTT movies, TV promos, animated movies and more.
She has lent her voice for several commercials for popular brands like – Amul, Britannia, Nivea, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Big Bazaar, Ponds, LG, Parachute, Bosch, Himalaya, Slurrp Farm, StayFree, to name a few.
She has also done voice overs for big Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Shilpa Shetty, Kareena Kapoor and many more, for the final TVCs and internal presentations.
She primarily records in Hindi and English (in a neutral accent).
In December 2021, she even won an award for voicing – “Best Digital Voice of the Year – Female” by India Voice Fest. Her awards and accolades have served as a good recognition for her hard work and dedication.
Spotlight On Stage and On Screen
While exploring new realms of acting, Bhoomika completed a course at the Barry John Acting Studio and featured in a commercial for Goldmedal switches. She has hosted a few prominent stage shows, like HUL Kwality Walls’ ‘Good Bye Serious’ event at Adlabs Imagica, and she has also been a host for the Marine Online Awards.
